System Engineer Sr. V

  • Identifies, analyzes, defines, and coordinates user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translates them into technical requirements.
  • Manages technical resources (hardware, software, licenses, and services).
  • Plans and leads transformation initiatives to new software architectures.;
  • Supports the Project Manager as the technical team lead on the project.
  • Leads software design and development teams.; Identifies gaps in requirements and solves problems for the supporting staff.
  • Identifies sequencing of services and technologies that are integrated in later phases of the project.;
  • Oversees application development; monitors and reports progress. Maintains legacy applications.
  • Ensures project architecture fundamentals are maintained by all developers.;
  • Collaborates with DBAs, SAs, and BAs to design solutions. Develops design artifacts, allocates work to developers.;
  • Coordinates the installation and maintenance of software products and performs software maintenance.;
  • Develops ways to improve performance and increase system availability. Provides recommendations to infuse new technology.;
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for specified systems and their subsequent applications.;
  • Leads the evaluation of risk and opportunity impacts to existing or proposed projects/programs and implements risk mitigation actions.;
  • Ensures compliance with contract and corporate requirements including quality measures and quality assurance standards


  • Design, develop and support custom applications built on Microsoft Office SharePoint 2013 Platform in an agile environment
  • Work with project management team to develop overall scope and work plan for implementing requirements
  • Advise on SharePoint best practices, standards, governance, and information management.
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective and efficient solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Work with customers at all levels of technical ability by assisting them in the customization and development of SharePoint sites
  • Collaborate with analyst in documenting and capturing software requirements in the form user stories, process models and use cases in an agile development environment
  • Collaborate with lead UI engineer to upgrade and redesign user interfaces for new and existing portal applications.
  • Review existing documentation to understand system functionality
  • Strong development experience in SharePoint and .Net development using VB.NET, C# and other .NET programming languages.
  • Experience in Java scripts, HTML and CSS
  • Ability to work in an a development environment with shifting priorities.
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint 2013 architecture and ability to determine the best approach as to when to employ out of the box configurations vs. custom development.
  • Ability to engage, set expectations & influence clients and is a strong team player
  • Experience in developing customized workflows using .net and SharePoint designer
  • Experience working with application design principles and product configurations (i.e. SharePoint Central Administrator).
  • Experience in the administration of SharePoint farm
