Mid-Level Budget Specialist

Salary:

Commensurate with education, skills, and experience relative to this requirement.

Clearance: 

Current TS/SCI clearance is required, SSBI (background check) not older than 4yrs.  NOTE:  There is NO EXCEPTION to this requirement.  Persons who do not have an active or in-scope (within the last 2 years) SCI will not be considered and need not respond.  PERSONS WITHOUT ACTIVE TS/SCI WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED SO SHOULD NOT APPLY.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Contractor duties shall include but are not limited to:

  • Development of plans including budgets and schedules to meet project requirements for several major portions of a program
  • Ensure compliance with government and customer requirements are met
  • Brief classes on the specifications of the course voucher allotments
  • Input student voucher data into the Defense Travel System (DTS), ensuring all receipts and required information are in accordance with the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) and the school's course funding regulations
  • Track all vouchers submitted
  • Provide professional and timely answers to student's questions and/or concerns concerning voucher issues
  • Monitor the progress of program requirements
  • Provide orders processing and reconciliation of travel vouchers
  • Interface with Customer to ensure financial requirements for the organization and mission are being met
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Conduct financial analysis
  • Provide cost and trend analysis of the Program
  • Support financial reports and budget analysis

Experience and Education:

Mid-Level shall have some college in an associated discipline, but an Associates Degree is preferred. Contractor must have at least three (3) years experience. Military experience is desirable.
